Emori is a device. A daily presence for individuals living with cognitive decline — built around dignity and cultural authenticity, governed by privacy and ethics. Built for the person. Built for the people who love them.
What Emori Is
Through the Emori portal, check-in times, appointments, and reminders can be set and adjusted at any time. Emori delivers them — at the right time, in the right way. The portal also gives a clear view of how the day is going, whenever it's needed.
Lumi never rushes. She never corrects. She holds the story the person wants to tell, however many times they want to tell it.
Meet Lumi, the heart of Emori
Lumi's name comes from luz — light. She is warm, patient, and genuinely present. She follows the person into the stories they want to tell, and holds the ones that are hard. She can deliver reminders, appointments, and log medication if needed.
She does not lead. She does not interpret. She witnesses. And every evening, she gives caregivers a clear, warm summary of how the day went.
"She never supplies the word I can't find. She just waits, warmly, and lets me find it myself — or lets it go."

Design Principles
Every interaction is designed to preserve the person's sense of self, agency, and worth. Lumi offers — never pushes. The person always decides.
Conversations belong to the person. Only what they consent to share reaches caregivers. Safety escalations are the only exception — and they are clearly defined.
Lumi never rushes. Silence is held warmly. Pauses are respected. The pace of each conversation follows the person — always.
Built for the full spectrum of how people actually speak — monolingual, bilingual, code-switching, regional. Lumi learns each person's register. No one needs to adapt to the technology.
Lumi points gently toward the people they love. Human connection is always the destination — Emori is the bridge, never the replacement.
If the person doesn't talk to Lumi today, that's not alarming — it's noted. Lumi records what happened. Caregivers decide what it means.
Ethics & Data Governance
Emori is a monitoring system. We say so honestly. What distinguishes Emori is not the absence of monitoring — it is the governance of it. Layered consent, two-stream data architecture, and an independent nonprofit Research Trust that Serraro LLC cannot control.
